GBP:Workshop is a series of educational sessions centred around a simplified hands-on approach to improving your photography.
SLR StartUp
Learn how to master the key functions of your digital SLR camera in order to consistantly get the striking results you want.
In this session:
Requirements:
All you need is a digital SLR camera and a whole lot of enthusiasm to learn!
The approach:
A great many classes, books and online tutorials are very general in what they offer. Whilst they do teach the basics of a particular topic, they often leave people with more questions than when they began.
This problem can be compounded by group sessions consisting of too many people; there simply isn’t enough time to satisfy everyone’s specific questions and needs.
My take on learning is simple: You don’t want to be bombarded by photo-jargon – you just want to know what to do in order to improve the quality of your pictures. That’s where I can help.
Set at a pace which suits you, at an outdoor location which favours the practical application of technique, GBP:Workshop takes learning about photography away from the classroom and into the real world.
Being part of a small group consisting of no more than 6 people means that you will have the chance to understand your camera better, progressing through a series of practical tasks designed to inspire and instruct.
Following the workshop, you and your fellow students can then take advantage of a dedicated online discussion forum – a place to post your pictures, ask questions and nurture your onging progress. Simply put, the learning doesn’t stop at the end of the session!
When and where:
There are no set dates or times to fit around – simply arrange a mutually convenient time and place.
Either arrange a group of up to 6 people, or register your interest to find out when the next group workshop is taking place.
Cost: £130 per person
