What people think:

“I have been studying photography at AS level for the past year. Needing extra tuition to enhance my practical skills, I decided to attended a 1-1 session with GBP:Workshop.

I felt that it was my most productive day of learning photography so far. Being on location made the session more realistic and also gave me an insight and feel of being a professional. Giles gave loads of tips that you wouldn’t learn from a book or in a class room, useful information that he has gained through his experience as professional.

The course was relaxed with no pressure; I felt I could learn at my own pace and have fun at the same time.
I really enjoyed the course and am looking forward to my next tutoring on the subject of lighting.

Anyone who is thinking of taking up photography as a career, or as a serious hobby, should really think about checking out one of Giles’ workshops.” – Clair Sheaff

“I hired Giles for a morning’s practical photography refresher course to improve my skills and get to grips with a new digital SLR. Giles explained everything in a non-techie way which has really helped me to get the most out of my new camera and take much better images as a result. I would recommend Giles to anyone looking for a photography workshop or one to one training session.” – Sam McArthur

“My name is Fiona Farley and I met Giles through a local networking group. I have always been interested in photography but didn’t really take it any further until Giles mentioned he had started to do 1-2-1 workshops. I have recently treated myself to a SLR camera and although I have attempted to read the instructions, it might as well have been written in double dutch!!! Giles spent at least three hours with me explaining how the camera worked and how to work the camera. The workshop was fascinating from start to finish, and Giles explained everything in layman’s terms. His preparation for the course was very professional with notes for me to read later, and at just the right speed for me to digest the information. By the time we had finished I could work my camera and take the shots I wanted to, with a huge improvement. I am looking forward to the next session which will be more advanced. I would recommend this workshop to anyone who wants to understand how to take a better picture, beginner or more advanced. Giles really knows his stuff and is a great communicator and I really feel I have learnt a new and exciting skill.” – Fiona Farley
